David R. Tannen
Practicing law since 1985, David Tannen founded Tannen Law Group, LLC in 2002. Since earning his Juris Doctor (JD) from Emory Law School, he has successfully represented numerous clients in family law cases throughout many Georgia jurisdictions.
David understands that divorce, child custody, and other family disputes are some of the most difficult experiences people will ever endure. David’s philosophy is that effective representation requires not only providing intelligent and capable advice and counsel but also educating his clients about the process, so they have a clear understanding of their options and what to expect as their cases unfold. David believes a Boutique law firm best serves his clients’ interests by enabling him to provide in-depth, personalized guidance to his clients and to advocate for them most effectively.
David is a dedicated family man with a wide range of interests including travel, classical music, golf and swimming.

Upon graduation from Notre Dame Law School, Ian embarked on his legal career in appellate criminal defense. Ian quickly rose to prominence as one of the youngest attorneys to present oral arguments before both the Supreme Court of Georgia and Georgia Court of Appeals. His love for the courtroom then led Ian to trial work in both criminal law and personal injury. His near daily courtroom appearances allowed him to master courtroom procedures and develop the skills essential to effective litigation.
Ian then transitioned to business litigation where he represented banks and financial institutions. This role exposed him to a diverse range of courtroom experiences, allowed him to master litigating complex financial issues, and honed his settlement negotiation skills.
Ultimately, Ian’s devotion to family led him to the practice of family law. His wide-ranging skill set has proved to be a perfect fit as he has effectively advocated for clients in trials, hearings, and mediations.
Ian joined Tannen Law Group because he believes a boutique law firm allows for a level of client engagement which is not available in typical law firms. Each client is guided through the emotional journey with constant support and personalized service. Whether a stay-at-home mom or a professional athlete, every client receives individual attention, top-tier work product, and first-class service.
Outside of the legal setting, Ian cherishes moments spent with his wife, children, and their pets. Ian also loves football and officiates games at both the college and high school levels.
